Here's a little review of how this month has gone for me:
OUT OF IDEAS
This was one of those months where I realized I didn’t have any WIPs left to finish! I have finalized most of the ones I had lying around, and the ones that were left over weren’t really working out. Whenever I reach a phase like this, my mind pulls up a blank when I think about what I want to draw. It just really helps me to have some ideas ready beforehand and when I don’t have any, it’s a challenge to come up with something on the spot! So it was time to sit down and come up with a bunch of new ideas for paintings. I’ve been thinking about doing an oracle deck themed set of illustrations for a while now, so that’s what I came up with! I’m really excited to start working on these and figuring out an interesting and rich painting style to bring them to life.
EVENTS COMING UP
Winter is over and events are on the horizon again! Last year I had to cancel so many because I kept getting sick. My immune system hasn’t been great for a while now, and as I’m typing this, I have a cold yet again. However, I’m starting to get sick less frequently which feels like a good sign. I’m hoping that means that I’ll be in the clear for Playgrounds which is coming up on April 18th and 19th, which is three weeks from now! I’m really looking forward to it. Will any of you be there? It would be great to meet some of you face-to-face. And if you can spare some positive vibes for my immune system, send them my way!

enjoy! I’ve been working on a deck myself for ages, but am better at the conceptual part. If you decide to go non-traditional with some of the imagery, your piece *Popcorn* seems like a great starting place for evoking the air suit on steroids (being only in your head, disconnected from the body). *Bathroom* works beautifully in the water suit (emotion, reflection).

I don’t know if you have had a chance to look at other artists’ work on that front, but you might check out Wylie Beckert (she’s on Patreon too) or Mina Mond (search google images for “mina mond tarot deck” to start). I'm feeling a lot better today and I'm optimistic that the worst of the viruses are behind me and that I can go to playgrounds without too many issues :) it would definitely be awesome to sell the oracle deck as a future project! There's a lot of work I'd want to complete for it but I think it will be more than worth it :)

Hopefully all will go well so you can attend your event in a few short weeks. I think your style would be great for an Oracle deck. Wouldn’t that be a lovely anniversary gift to yourself and your fans to be able to have that as your next project offering, after the gallery in a box. All the best
