EARLY ACCESS // march WIPs

I was thinking of tackling some “oracle deck” inspired themes that represent different stages or turning points in life, which led me to come up with these ideas. I think I’ll be finishing up the green one first, because I really like how that one is turning out! Which one do you like the most?

i like these interpretations a lot! I didn't even think of the newborn association but it really works with the theme. thanks for your insights!

2024-03-26 14:24:29 +0000 UTCThey are all beautiful in their own rights but I think it depends on what message or emotion you want to convey. For me personally, the black one conveys spotting the first glimmer of hope when you're going through a dark time in your life. The green one to me represents birth and nature for some reason lol perhaps it's the pose that reminds me of a mother cradling a newborn??? I have no idea!!!! lol And then the red one feels like she's unsure of what to do (mainly from her expression) but there's danger lurking (mainly the red color) and she needs to run away. :D

I really love how dynamic and quietly powerful they feel – very fitting for the oracle deck! I have tarot-inspired art on my ideas list for this year so this post felt like a sign to start some sketches for them ;)

2024-03-22 10:22:20 +0000 UTCi also see them a little bit like seasons, at least the mood and chromatically.(ofc there's one missing for it to be that way but my brain still jumped at that association) It's fitting that you're going for the green one first. - there's a sense of serenity and being reborn within itself. Personally I like the black one cause it's more moody . There's also a hint of otherworldliness talking to animal spirits kinda vibe :D
