ohh thanks so much for this info! i'm so glad those types of services exist, it's so risky to just put your contact information out there for everyone to see.

Loish

I haven't finished watching this Q&A but regarding Impressum and your adress: you have to put an adress there, it can be your personal or that of your business office. There is a service called "Postflex" (Germany) where you can put an adress of the service on your website (they send the letters to you if they get any) so your personal adress is safe - you need to have a telephone number, too (there were decisions made by courts that you need to be able to get back to people within 60 min or so and they said a contact formular or something like that wont provide it, so a telephone number is recommended by lawyers). if you like to see what i mean, look at my website mochimona.net (no advertisment) i got help from a lawyer regarding my website and impressum to make it safe. i am considering getting a second sim (and number) for my impressum because I dont want to get called by anyone weird though.

this is so incredibly helpful! I will make a point to share this information in the next Q&A session :) I really appreciate it!

hi Loish...new patreon here and I just had some advice for breaking into the art industry. (I'm a Lead 3d Artist and have worked in the entertainment industry for over 20years now - god that makes me sound old lol) Anyway... linkedin is heavily used by recruiters so that was a great point. Online competitions are also a fantastic way to get noticed and to get feedback on your work. Artstation has some. You can also reach out to some of your favorite artists and ask for portfolio advice. Most of us will be happy to help (time allowing) and...if they see something they like or if a position becomes available - they might remember you. For me personally, my school provided all the networking I needed. My classmates are all working in the industry so they are instant connections. If you can't go to a fulltime art school, see if you can take a single class in person or if it has to be online, look for online classes that have online forums where you can get in touch with other students. Hope this helps :)

i'm so glad you're happy with the answer! best of luck with putting together a workspace that fits your workflow!

Thank you SO much for answering my question Loish. It was very insightful! I will think long and hard about my workspace setup for the Fall. I might plan to keep my traditional and digital work apart from each other because I do agree that a lot of times it DOES feel like worlds colliding. Thanks again for answering this question I had been struggling with. It was beyond the coolest thing I could ask for on my birthday month (I’ve been a fan since 2015 when I actually bought my very first tablet, a Wacom intuos Draw, at a local Best Buy because of your artwork printed on the box 🤣)

i must try this!!!

hahaha! i always fall asleep when listening to someone talk for a long period of time, unless i'm doing something else too. podcasts are my go to method to fall asleep at night!

Loish

This was a great one. But I have to admit I fell asleep at the end 🤣 I woke up in the middle of the night and was like oh no i missed it 🤣 Luckily there is always a recording.😉

Here's a life hack to keep the burger in place and if you're eating at home: Put it in a coffee filter paper!

I missed this "impresum" law thing, but now I know. Thanks!
