PROCESS VIDEO // plants timelapse
Added 2023-06-09 08:54:53 +0000 UTCI put together a quick video showing the procreate timelapse of my plant studies! The main phases of the sketches were basically:
- 01 // rough sketch - just blocking out the basic shapes.
- 02 // base color - blocking in a square with the base color unerneath the rough sketch.
- 03 // sculpting the shapes - painting on top of the whole thing and trying to work out the shapes of the leaves, stems, grass etc.
- 04 // detailing - with a smaller brush, trying to work out sharp edges, bring more contrast, and painting the finer details.
For some of them, I felt like step 3 (sculpting shapes) was bringing too much contrast and sharpness to the painting and so I would go over the whole thing with a messy brush and kind of start over from there.
The brush set I used for these is the Gouache Maxpack!
