MONTHLY CHALLENGE // master study
Added 2023-01-01 10:00:03 +0000 UTCIt’s time for the the first challenge of 2023! It’s a new year, so a great time to hone up our skills and do some studies that will help us improve and learn. This month we will be doing some master studies of classical paintings together! Choose one of the paintings from the reference image to make a study of, or choose any painting of your own liking. Try to pick an area of focus before getting started, and push that aspect further in your study so that it reflects your vision.

Below is the list of helpful resources that can help you complete this challenge:
- Exercises for improving your skills - This tutorial shows you how you can learn from a study by choosing a specific area of focus, and pushing that further in your study.
- Process video: expressions - This video shows the process for some expression studies that have a traditionally painted feel.
