Yaaa, it's screenshot time!
Once again we've put together a little collage of some of the things we've been working on lately. After the delays we mentioned in this announcement post, I'm happy to say that things have been speeding up again as we're drawing ever nearer to a completed v1.1.0 update.
So, regarding this image, the first thing I'd like to address is the character TiedTiki has drawn for one of the new sidequests we have been working on. She's one of two new characters for said sidequest, which we hope to include in the next closed beta update (CB6) which is scheduled for the end of this month.
Secondly you probably noticed the escape menu image in the back, although you may not have noticed the two new buttons near the bottom. The Wait option is one that has been requested for a while now, and its main function is simply to lower the distraction meter faster than other options do. The Skills button opens what used to be the "escape perks" menu, which is now being replaced with a skill tree coded in by our Pwa. The skill tree lets players choose what skills (previously perks) to unlock first, and even lets them toggle unlocked skills on or off, since some skills now have both upsides and downsides to them.
We have also worked on several back-end changes to the escape system that improve system performance and make it easier for modders to make changes and additions.
Lastly, Daikin/Boxtie has been working on some improvements for Zhara's facesets (colors by Estragon), one of which you can see an example on in this image. These improvements will also affect some of her other new graphics, which we think you will appreciate.
Oh, right, there's also the little thing in the middle of the collage... Yeah, let's just say you'll want to interact with that thing at some point...
