EARLY ACCESS // zoo sketches
Added 2022-08-26 14:38:27 +0000 UTCLast month, I went to the zoo and did some live sketching of the animals there with a few other artists! The sketches themselves didn’t turn out great - I’m very out of my element when drawing from life - but I wanted to try finalizing these sketches digitally, because even though the details are off on the sketches, I do find the shapes quite interesting. So for these I wanted to keep the original shapes but rework the details and add some color to make the animals more accurate.

I wish I could sketch at the zoo more often, but the closest is over an hour drive away. But I recently discovered live animal drawing sessions over zoom. You have to draw SO quickly, but it's a lot of fun.
