2022-08-29 13:29:57 +0000 UTCThank you so much for making this. I drew "sausages" too when I was small and "sphere people" like the characters hands were spheres and his boots/feet were spheres and his head... well. It is refreshing for me how open you talk about the way things looked before and what a difference use of the basic shapes and variations made for you. I think it is common to hear about basic shapes and construction again and again but one tends to skip some steps later on only to realize quite a while later that everything fell back into "a zone" or maybe what you specialize in. It was really interesting. Thanks again. I like your colors. All the best and stay safe.

2022-08-11 09:02:01 +0000 UTCThank you so much for this! I have definitely fallen into the rut of 'same body type syndrome' so this is a great jumping off point. I also love your appreciation for different body types in general. As someone with an hour glass figure, I often find it so hard to relate to characters in games and movies because they never look like me. When ever I see drawings of larger characters from you I always smile because you capture them in such a beautiful fashion. Thank you so much. PS. I got your book and goodies last week and its incredible <3

2022-08-10 09:03:42 +0000 UTCIncredible, Loish! I always look forward to your tutorials every month, and this one is one of my favourites you've ever done! I absolutely love when you talk about shape design, and diverse body types is one of my favourite topics to explore in my art. I feel really inspired now :). I also LOVED to hear you talk about cultural beauty standards -- I found myself nodding along to everything you were saying. I can tell by your work that you truly do appreciate a wide range of figures and faces and what makes them unique and beautiful and interesting. Thanks for putting this tutorial/demo together!!

2022-08-10 00:23:20 +0000 UTCHi! Thank you for all your tutorials, they are super helpful in my art journey! Wanted to ask if you will be adding this vid to the Vimeo list you have here (for those of us having issues watching these videos on Patreon--of which I reached out to them but not sure if they are looking into it..)

2022-08-09 17:49:23 +0000 UTCNo, sorry that was really confusing wasn’t it?! I just meant that hardback books are awesome. I have some other books in digital, it’s just not the same. They are handy to refer to, but nothing beats the feeling of a printed book, the smell of the paper, the feel of it, the inks..

2022-08-09 11:56:29 +0000 UTCGreat tutorial…. I just receive your book yesterday ‘The style of Loish’, it’s gorgeous! Absolutely dying to get into it… nothing beats holding an art book in your hands… digital versions lose a little bit of that specialness. I got the signed copy, sitting pride of place among my book collection.
