Added 2022-03-15 10:21:25 +0000 UTCFinally got around to finishing this cloud painting I’ve been working on for a while! My aim with this one was to really capture the specific type of volumes that you can find in these fluffy clouds. It’s really tempting for me to use a soft brush and just smooth everything out, but that takes away the effect I’m going for, so I had to maintain focus on these cauliflower-like forms and balance them out with some softness! It was a lot of trial and error. I’m happy with how it turned out in the end! This is basically what I fantasize about when I’m on a plane, looking down at clouds from above! Hope you like it too ❤

Winds at those heights are usually so strong that they tear the tops off of clouds like that. You caught a bit of that on the right-hand cloud. Picky-picky me.
