EARLY ACCESS // winter landscapes

I usually dread it because I always feel cold and depressed in the winter time, but lately I’ve been learning to enjoy it more. I feel like there’s a unique beauty to the world during the winter, something about those muted colors and the crisp feeling of the air. Here are some studies based on some of the winter scenery we get here in the Netherlands - not as much snow and ice, but lots of cloudy skies and fog.

The second (gray) one is my favourite, I feel like it captures a feeling of winter rather than a vey detailed scene, which I like very much. Winter definitely has its own special character and I hated it for a long time, but I'm starting to appreciate it too.
