UPDATE // info about the kickstarter

Hey lovely patrons! The kickstarter launch date for my third artbook is fast approaching, so I wanted to give you guys a heads up about the campaign. For those who want to back this project, It's going live on Monday October 11th, at 18:00 Amsterdam time (you can use this time zone converter to see what time it will be in your local area). There will be 3000 signed copies available, which is a lot more than previous campaigns because last time they ran out so quickly! If you want a signed copy, try to be there at the exact time that the campaign launches so that you don't miss out!

THE BOOK

The book is called The Style of Loish and will be about how I found my own artistic style. It breaks down my style into 4 main elements, and those specific elements will be analyzed further in 4 separate chapters, where I talk about how my techniques and process help me to convey these elements. Each chapter will have exercises and tips that you can do to help you cultivate your own artistic voice. There's also an in-depth tutorial with a lot of advice on how you can adapt it to make the workflow your own, as well as technical tips and walkthroughs! It was designed to both give insights into my art, as well as inspire the reader with techniques, tips and exercise ideas for their own work.

ADD-ONS

In previous campaigns, we used to work with tiers. Each tier had its own unique mix of backer prizes. This time, kickstarter allows us to now offer "add-ons". Basically, this means you can get the book, and then choose which extras you would like with the book, making it a lot easier to choose the mix of backer prizes that you want. The options for add ons will be:

• A print: this print will be exclusive to the kickstarter. There will be limited signed prints as well. 

• An exercise booklet: To go with the book, I put together an exercise booklet. It has some worksheets intended to help you reflect on your own creative goals, as well as a bunch of different sketching exercises you can do to improve your skills and cultivate your style!

• A slipcase for all three books: for those of you who want to collect all three of my artbooks, this special slipcase can hold all three of them together in one case. 

• The previous artbooks: We'll be offering The Art of Loish and The Sketchbook of Loish at a slightly discounted price through this Kickstarter, for those who don't have them yet.

STRETCH GOALS

We have some fun ideas for stretch goals, including stickers, postcards and bookmarks! 

The campaign will run for 30 days, so you don't have to back it right away to get a copy - you can back it anytime within the 30 day period, although signed copies will probably run out quickly based on how previous campaigns went. The book will also be available through the 3Dtotal webshop and other webshops (like amazon) when the kickstarter is over and the book is officially released next year. I really do recommend getting it through the kickstarter though, because the kickstarter editions are way more fun. You get a special mailing carton with art printed on it, all the stretch goal goodies, and the unique opportunity for the special print. It's much more of a collector's item to receive!
