Added 2021-09-08 08:23:01 +0000 UTCI finally got around to finishing the wave painting that I started last year! I can’t believe the thumnbails have been lying around and gathering dust for so long! I included some process shots as well. It was a challenge painting the water in a way that felt stylized but also believable and adding depth, but it was a lot of fun too. Very soothing with the organic shapes! Hope you guys like it :)

thanks so much! i'll make it available as a print at some point down the line, but i want to wait until my book has been released since i included it in there as a special artwork :)

The colors are excellent and I love the subtle shadows of sharks in the water above. I have a slight critique, I hope this is alright... the hand reaching out is deformed in an uncomfortable way. It goes a bit beyond stylized stretching, and i think because it's a hand it's much more noticeable. My suggestion - make her ever so taller by extending the thigh area, to give that feeling of reach a tad more tension and realism. Gorgeous work as always, thank you for sharing your process!
