EARLY ACCESS // little village
Added 2021-08-03 09:00:00 +0000 UTCAnother speedpaint inspired by my trip to France in June! This is a portrait of a little french village called Pagès. It’s one of those villages that is totally isolated and only has a few houses clustered together. I would have a hard time living there, but it’s so peaceful when we hike through!
I’m trying out different brushes lately to get more texture, which is fun but kind of knocks me out of my flow. I have mixed feelings about the end result, but I want to keep using more brushes in the future. If you guys have any specific brush sets that you like, let me know! I’m always on the lookout for new ones.

2021-08-11 13:37:55 +0000 UTCProcreate has 2 standard brushes which give you that scratchy/lined look: Styx and Thylacine. I think Paperblue uses the latter a lot if I’m not mistaken.

2021-08-05 09:08:36 +0000 UTCEven better, Jing has a free sample set so you can try out his brush style to see if you like it. His Edge Control or Edge 2.0 brushes are THE brushes I’d rec for trying to duplicate the Maclabs brushes in Procreate.

2021-08-04 09:07:23 +0000 UTCI can't afford the maclabs brushes at the moment but I subtitute it with the Jingsketch Procreate Brushset! It's super affordable and nice to work with. If you use JING you can also get a 10% discount. :)
