EARLY ACCESS // trendy girls

It’s weird seeing the fashion trends from my childhood become popular again with young people today. It’s even weirder to think it’s been 20 years since those days already. Time is going fast!! Here are some doodles based on people I’ve seen walking around here lately.

thanks so much! i can't believe scrunchies came back haha!

Loish

if you wait long enough, your favorite trends will always come back haha! i always thought chokers and big pants were awesome tbh!

Loish

thanks riley! I'll probably be posting that next month, I have to do some tweaks first :)

Loish

haha yes! sarah michelle gellar was a style icon in my younger days!

My favorite is the floating girl in green! She seems so cool.

Amber

Awesome <3 I've been rewatching Buffy The Vampire Slayer and I feel like she would rock the middle outfit for sure!

Kat Craig

These are beautiful. I love the green one. I was wondering if we get to see the cover of your new book coming. If there is one yet

Riley Morgan

I love your color choices. Very inspiring. 😁

To be honest im glad! Haha. I was always ridiculed when I wore choker or big pants when I was in school because the "trendy time" passed and girls went on to wear weird jackets and tight pants.... Now im cool finally with 25 XD

Saw a whole bunch of teenagers in town yesterday and I thought the same thing about the fashion! It's amazing that you can sketch them so accurately from memory, I'd have to take pictures first, and, well, one does not do that, haha :D

to me it looks like a rake brush ☺️ it seems like a simple one too (not too much fancy fiddling with size/opacity/pressure) so you light be able to make one for yourself— put a few dots in a row for the brush head and make the angle change with the direction of the stroke! if none of that makes sense i’m sure there are youtube tutorials :) speaking of that, Loish, do you ever make your own brushes?

Peregrine Elea

I love the textures, the background and the lighting! Also the scrunchie situation :D So cute!

Hana Mik

I love the green clothes!

These are really lovely, i always love seeing this less detailed style from you <3 I think it works really well. I wanted to ask is the crosshatching a seperate brush or just brushtstrokes and if it is: would you be willing to share it at some point? :) Keep it up!
