UPDATE // first month of 2021 down.
Added 2021-01-31 09:42:22 +0000 UTCOne more full month of winter left to go! How are you guys feeling about 2021 so far? For me it's been a rollercoaster, and at the same time incredibly boring :') Here's a quick review of how this month went for me:
BRIGHT COLORS
I noticed that I’ve been working with super bright colors this month: bright pink flamingos, neon hair, and intensely red fish! I feel like this is saying something about this bland, dark winter and how I’m searching for brightness through my art. There’s something so therapeutic about working with these intense colors and escaping into them during a drawing session.
TUTORIAL TOPICS
I’ve managed to cover almost all of the topics that were in the tutorial polls over the last year! I think it’s time to break it open again and ask you guys: what kind of stuff would you like to see in a tutorial? Anything goes! Drop your suggestion in the comments, then I can start including them in the upcoming polls!
As always, thanks so much for your support! I'll be sending out links to this month's google drive folder in a minute. If you have any feedback or questions, please feel free to share them with me through a direct message or e-mail to loishh@gmail.com. Any and all feedback is welcome! I hope you’ll continue to be my patron and enjoy the content coming up next month! ❤

2021-02-14 17:41:31 +0000 UTCI was coming here to suggest something similar: a tutorial or advice post about how to grow and improve as an artist, how to identify areas you want to improve and what sort of practice helps the most in leveling up. Thank you Kat for suggesting this! And many, many thanks for sharing your art, inspiration and wisdom with us, Loish!
2021-02-08 14:43:44 +0000 UTCthanks so much for your kind words! i do have some videos showing my process with traditional media! just browse this tag and you can see most of them: https://www.patreon.com/loish?filters[media_types]=video&filters[month]=2020-10

2021-02-08 09:38:59 +0000 UTCI'd like to see painting skin and/or shading for a tutorial if it hasn't already been done. Im having trouble with my portraits coming out flat or muddy looking ;/
2021-02-08 04:50:04 +0000 UTCHi Loish! I’m loving all of your tutorials, super helpful 🖤 I was wondering if we could see your process or journey involving the use of traditional mediums (like watercolour or marker etc)? I really love how your style is still really in tact and consistent. It’s really difficult making traditional media work when your don’t have the advantages of digital media 🎨🖤 thanxxx !!

2021-02-05 09:36:58 +0000 UTCThanks Loish! I love how you express movement using things like hair and the environment. Can you go deeper into your process please?

2021-02-04 23:39:45 +0000 UTCI second this idea, the videos are amazing but I would also benefit from knowing where to start. Thank you Kat for suggesting this x
2021-02-04 13:19:23 +0000 UTCMaybe someone said it already, but I was thinking about "how to draw expressive hands" like you do :)

2021-02-04 10:13:24 +0000 UTCI love all of your tutorials and posts on Patreon! And sometimes, I start to feel overwhelmed with where to start or a topic becomes too difficult for me to execute on and I feel like I'm missing 10 other skills that I need to practice. I would love a "roadmap" of sorts... like "If Loish were to suddenly and completely lose her ability to draw and had to start over from the beginning... where would she start? what would she study first? what would she practice the most? how would she pace herself? what would her expectations be if she practiced X amount of time?" Especially linking to already existing tutorials or resources that could help build certain skills in digital art and Procreate.
2021-02-03 23:46:00 +0000 UTCHow to make animal compositions and animal portraits interesting

2021-02-03 19:26:47 +0000 UTCI don't know if this has been requested/or done already, but how to work with colors and make them appear bright and not dull. One of the most challenging things for me with digital art, is pushing color further (basically giving colors life after flatting) Thank you. As a side note, thank you for all the work, thought, time, and care you put into the content you are sharing through Patreon. Its absolutely wonderful

2021-02-03 17:30:20 +0000 UTCI really loved those old mini tutorials you did of a piece of the human body, like eyes, nose etc. More of those would be great!

2021-02-03 02:15:58 +0000 UTCI would love to see a tutorial on how you draw animals! Especially in procreate but I'm just really interested in seeing your process when it comes to drawing fur. I'm struggling with simplifying the shapes and having it still look like fur. On another note, I'm really enjoying all of your tutorials and my art has improved thanks to you <3
