Last month’s environment speedpainting tutorial was more about my Photoshop process, so I wanted to quickly discuss how I create similar art on the iPad. It’s more or less the same process, except I do more with the brush and less with the lasso tool! I hope it's helpful and as always, feel free to ask any questions you might have after watching it!

2021-02-08 09:40:25 +0000 UTCThanks so much for doing one focused on Procreate. I've watched this and your main environment tutorial. There's just one more question I still have. You use gradients a lot in the Photoshop example, to blend blocks into their setting better. Like you did with the clouds. What is the equivalent to that in Procreate? I end up always just blending colours together, and I'm not sure if that's wrong.

I've been looking for a digital art medium for a while, and since I would have a ton of use for iPad otherwise as well, am thinking of getting an iPad, but am unsure which one I should get, so knowing which one you use could be helpful to know if you don't mind :) I'm sure the info is somewhere, I just can't find it XD

2020-12-18 21:09:40 +0000 UTCSo lovely! I’ve noticed that procreate doesn’t like to merge layers with multiply, screen, color dodge etc., without completely changing the look of the piece. To work around this, do you just keep a bunch of layers open without merging them?
