My final drawings for week 2 of brushtober! I did the sunset piece first and I really fought with the drawing. I just couldn't make it work. But then when I did the swirly one, it finally 'clicked' for me. I started painting rather than drawing. I think it's because I was more patient with the drying process (also used a blow dryer which was helpful!) and found a brush that really worked for me.
The swirly one is about my chaotic brain when I have time to think and end up ruminating. I'm someone who really needs to keep myself busy, otherwise I just fall into really intense thoughts and get stuck in them. Dealing with that has been tough this year because there's way less distraction and 'change of scenery' in my life. I'm figuring out new ways to deal with it though. Like painting with ecoline! haha. Hope you like these!
