Added 2020-02-26 17:00:00 +0000 UTCI did some more work on the red & white ribbons painting, here’s the latest version! I’m finding the lasso tool super useful for this process. I select the lighlight or shadow areas and then use a round gradient to add a soft shading effect to the ribbons. This is one of those pieces where I have to struggle hard not to over-render, so I’m trying to set a clear time limit. Wish me luck guys! 😂

2020-03-03 00:54:47 +0000 UTCin photoshop, you can choose different types of gradient shapes! just a horizontal one, or a circular one, or also mutli-color and line. i choose the circular one with the color fading to transparent. it allows me to make smaller gradients!
