Added 2020-02-05 17:23:28 +0000 UTCHere’s a painting that I finally managed to finish! It changed a lot from the WIP version which I posted a few months ago:
I wanted to give her a little more confidence and more of an intentional gesture, so I made a bunch of changes to the pose and expression. The main struggle of this painting was getting the red to work. I'm using this color more and more lately, but I have a love/hate relationship with it. It's hard to get the values right, and have it still feel warm and soft!

Do you have any recommendations of exercises or resources to work on this? Your figure is lighted from below and still has such as beautiful, feminine quality which I tend to lose in mine. Thanks~
