[GG | Bd. 1 Bonus] [dtv] Finished Pages

Finished pages for the bonusomic of v1! I struggled a bit with the colours here. I still think they could be more harmonious, but I'm not sure what to change.

But the boys are cute, that's what counts.

v2 has the bonus comic of the self published v3, which is a flashback of Piet and Lukas at the lake. You can read it here!

Piet says he doesn’t want to switch because he doesn’t want to do the assignment, and won’t make himself a burden to someone who cares about this assignment. Tim is taken aback but says it’s too late because he’s not going to bail on Henry like that.

The Urge

Later Tim is very guilty about it and blurts out to Henry that Piets trying to run away, and gets stopped. After getting school intervention about it he yells at Tim for telling on him, and Tim says Piet was stupid for trying to leave, and Piet asks if Tim would rather he stick around being his obnoxious mentor, and Tim says he’s planning to switch mentors.

The Urge

Tim refuses to do it and Piet asks why. Then Tim asks him why he’d want to do that and Piet refuses to answer. Then he leaves in annoyance that Tim won’t help him. He later asks Tim to lie for him and even lets him make the lie extremely unflattering to him. Then later Tim catches him planning to leave, but tells him it’s none of his business.

The Urge

So he finds Tim alone and tries to talk to him, and Tim says he doesn’t want to talk to Piet, and Piet says that after this they won’t even see each other again, making Tim stop. He asks Tim to help him run away. Tim asks him where he’d even go, and Piet says he doesn’t know, he’ll just take a bus and find something else to keep him from going back to this school.

The Urge

Another Piet and Tim idea. Imagine Piet has gotten sick of doing everything he’s doing, he’s struggling to make up with Levi, and Thea, and Henry, and Lucas, after everything that’s happened, and he just wants to get away. He then makes a plan to run away in the middle of the night, and realizing that for whatever reason he needs a second person, but he knows everyone would try to stop him.

The Urge

Because the fact that they getting along seems so out of reach and they’re far past the point where it would happen in a different story but it hasn’t happened, and now I’m just trying to imagine how it could happen, because these characters only seem more distant from each other than ever. Would Tim gain any respect for Piet if Piet got into detention for beating up Levi’s bullies and then actively left detention as it was happening?

The Urge

Can I ask why your focus is on Piet+Tim in all of your ideas?

Lisa Brenner

Piet just leaves immediately out the window, and when Tim asks why he’d do that he says he did nothing wrong and that those kids had it coming. Now Tim’s curiosity is piqued, and wants to know what Piet did, and he agrees to explain it.

The Urge

Another Piet/Tim fanfic. Imagine Piet finds out about Levi’s bullies and when he tries to talk about it he gets told off for everything and it breaks him, and when he sees the bullies mocking Levi again, he’s so angry he attacks them and gets beat up and then Tim sees him in detention covered in bruises.

The Urge

I always liked this relationship. Felix cares about Piet. And I would like Piet to trust a little more of those next to him.

This is so sad 😞 cutting the ties to lucas hurts me deep in my heart

In other sketches and possibly in the comic too, Lukas is also shown to have a bracelet like Piet’s. I think it’s safe to assume that they matched each other, and now that Piet has left Lukas behind, the bracelet is a painful reminder to him.

Tim is shocked to hear this, and asks Piet if he'd really want his advice. Piet says it's true, and he's sick of being expected to take care of him and help him with his problems, and it being his fault when he's ignored. Then Tim says he could just not mentor him and Piet says that then he'd fail his assignment. Tim reveals that he wants Henry to be his mentor instead. And then Piet has a sigh of relief about it.

The Urge

So I have this idea where Piet joins in on a party game and Tim is begrudgingly there too at a distance and Piet gets a card saying "what's your most messed up fantasy" and Piet dismisses it and Tim mocks him because of course he didn't answer that. Then Piet decides out of spite to describe it in detail, how in this fantasy he falls on his head and gets brain damage and forgets most of his subjects and has to learn how to play the Piano again, and he keeps stuttering and saying things he shouldn't, and now everyone feels bad for him and is taking care of him and Tim would be worried about him and he'd have to ask Tim to help him with his homework which would just be basic times tables, and Tim would be guilted into helping him after he has a fit of stuttering and then vomiting, and Piet would be so excited to have memorized 12 times 12, and Tim would be his mentor in the project and reluctantly give him live advice, and he'd learn to play Piano again but never on stage, and everyone would be so impressed when he played a whole song at almost the right speed while only playing 10 wrong notes.

The Urge

Why is Piet cutting off that bracelet? What's important about that? And how exactly did Piet become "perfect Piet" in the first place?
