Then Tim isn't mad at him anymore, and Piet holds onto his grudge against Tim anyway since so much stuff happened. But then Tim has a panic attack and Piet puts his issues aside to try and do the marble thing. Tim ignores it because he's confused, but eventually gives in and tries it. He feels better, but he's not sure how to feel about Piet doing that because Piet doesn't like him. He asks why, and he says that he wasn't going to let him suffer over a petty grudge, and then just leaves. At that point Tim confronts him to ask him what happened because he's honestly way less annoying now. He says he has no idea what he means and he says that it's like seeing the real him. Piet says he doesn't like himself when he's like this, but he didn't really like himself before either, and he doesn't actually know what to do or what the genuine version of himself is. Tim says that Piets behavior feels pretty genuine as it is, and not actually all that mean. Then they part ways again, unsure what to make of all this.

So... I have another one, where basically after Tim swaps mentors Piet has a breakdown and decides he's sick of acting perfect and that this shouldn't hurt, so he decides to just sort of give up and see how long it takes people to notice. So when Tim is rude to him during the swap thing, he acts actively annoyed. Tim assumes he's bitter he can't have Tim as a mentee anymore, and dislikes him even more now. Piet returns the energy because he's upset that Tim would get angry at him for acting the way he acts all the time, and then they get into a petty fight. Tim sarcastically says it's nice to meet the real Piet, and Piet says he should have been this way the whole time. Piet is now openly rude to Tim whenever they see each other, and Tim assumes he's holding onto a grudge. Then they both get lost on a field trip and Piet sees Tim there, and Tim ignores him, but Piet says they should stay together and not move so they can be found. He tries to follow Tim, and Tim yells at him to go away because he's assuming Piet is condescending to him, and Piet goes another way and finds a place to stay at. Then he breaks down crying worrying that no one will miss him until he gets found hours later, Tim having already been found because he was walking right towards the camp. Later once they're back and Tim is alone, Piet angrily yells at him for leaving, and Tim rolls his eyes, but then Piet says he could have died out there without anyone around to help him if he broke his leg or they needed to find food. Tim now feels very guilty but also he's surprised Piet isn't at all worrying about him, and Piet bitterly remarks that he isn't worried because clearly Tim had an easier time than he did. Piet asked Tim why he never told him where he was going, and Tim is shocked that Piet just assumed Tim knew where he was going. Tim says Piet is older than him and thought Piet would have just managed, and Piet and goes on a rant about how he's a dumb teenager who has no idea how to survive on his own and being an older teenager doesn't actually make that much of a difference and says that Tim is extremely inconsiderate of his situation and never thinks about how he might feel being stuck taking care of him, and says Tim should have either cooperated with the assignment or tried to get a new mentor from the start. Tim says it's not that easy because he struggles with interacting with other people and it would have taken a while for him to be comfortable talking to anyone, and he never wanted to do the assignment in the first place, he only talks to Henry because he's less annoying than Piet. Then Piet winds down and begrudgingly admits that this was no one's fault except maybe the teachers for making them do this assignment. Tim apologizes for what he did, and Piet has a smartass remark like "Good. Be sorry" or something. Then Tim leaves and finds himself thinking that ironically, he finds Piet way less annoying now.

I feel like Tim is in this unfortunate predicament here where he wants to spend time with Molle and his family but his Anxiety makes it uncomfortable for him, and that's why he's staring at them from the sofa. Is that an accurate prediction of what this scene will be?
