2024-06-27 15:21:48 +0000 UTCI know i’ve been leaving too many comments but I have a hypothetical where Piet realizes the error of his ways too late and now Levi hates him and he tries to become Levi’s mentor but Levi rejects him, so he asks Henry how he made things work so well with Tim, and when he feels like he doesn’t understand it that well he asks Tim what made him choose Henry, explaining that he wants to win over Levi, and Tim is reluctant but he’s matured quite a bit so he gives Piet the benefit of the doubt and tells him that honestly he shouldn’t bother him at all, and if he wants to go to him then he should go to him. Piet asks what happens when that happens, and Tim says that Piet should just talk to him like a normal person, the way he would to anyone else. Then Piet thanks him and leaves.

2024-06-26 20:20:40 +0000 UTCHe and Molle are starting to get along pretty well, and Tim is still angry and asks him what happened to him being a bad mentor and Piet says he’s not mentoring him and they’re just doing the project and all that time brought them closer. He asks if things are going well with Henry and Tim says they’re doing great without him, and Piet says that’s good to hear.

2024-06-26 17:19:50 +0000 UTCWhile doing the project Piet feels like making conversation with Molle to make things less awkward and transition to them getting along, so he tells Molle he wants to play piano but doesn’t want to be a piano player, and asks him what he thinks he should do about that. They get at why this is and Piet realizes that he feels like playing the piano is an extension of his persona as perfect, because Pianos are seen as sophisticated. He then realizes that he wouldn’t have this problem if it wasn’t for everything else he did.

2024-06-26 15:11:45 +0000 UTCThen Molle confronts Piet saying he never thought Piet was better than him, or that he was more mature, he just thought they were sort of friends and working together and he could confide in him since they were supposed to be mentor and mentee, and that Piet has to have some insight that Molle doesn’t have, and that he just wanted an outside perspective. Piet apologizes and decides to help him start on the project.

2024-06-26 09:02:05 +0000 UTCTim gets angry and calls Piet out for this and Piet calls him a hypocrite because everything he says is something Tim agrees with and Tim says he shouldn’t have said it and Piet says he’d be lying to preserve this image of himself as perfect Piet, and flips the thing Tim said about Piet only caring about the project back on him. Tim storms off with nothing to say and Piet stays there. He cries, wishing he had a way out of this that was better, but he can’t see one.

But after pushing basically everyone away Piet is in a bad mood and has never felt worse, and when Molle asks for advice he tells Molle that he has nothing to teach and Molle should not expect him to have anything useful to say, because he’s a failure, and that they were paired up because the adults running the school are dumb and don’t know what they’re doing either, and Molle gets angry at him and tears up, and Piet feels bad but says nothing.
