Control the room - poster commands + more
Added 2022-09-13 23:59:01 +0000 UTCI wanted to make a quick post here to talk about the commands to control the room posters, plus some other things like the Patreon sound pool, name updates, and more.
First off, I've tried my best to make sure everyone is included on the Patreon list for Twitch-related stuff, but because I don't have any way of syncing this up automatically, it's a manual process. That is perfectly fine, but it does require some extra steps that are much easier with the involvement of all of you - so if you could, at your convenience, just fill out this form to let me know who is who, that would be great :) Alternately, you can change your Patreon name in your profile settings so that your preferred name, or Twitch name, is visible. Either way you are personally comfortable with!
Second off, make sure you're synced up to Discord and, well, IN the Discord, so that you can access the Patreon-specific channels. It's the easiest way to communicate, and faster. http://discord.gg/sktn and sync your Patreon account with Discord! If you don't know how to do that, here are some instructions.
Thirdly, ALL Patreon supporters will be able to control the room posters as well as the lights. I'm working on the lights portion, though its basic functionality is there. To control those, simply type into chat !poster1 !poster2 !poster3 or !poster4 and lights is !lights
(Lights is definitely a sub-only command, but Patreon supporters also have access to it :))
I should be reaching out again soon about an updated Patreon sound pool. And as always, since this is all still being actively worked on, don't worry if something doesn't work ASAP. DO let me know, and I'll make note of it for fixing. Most likely it is some kind of back-end API thing out of my control, or a name that I didn't have in the list for one reason or another.
