Here is a video of one of the iceberg watchmen. He said that there was a warning given to the wireless room from another ship warning of these icebergs, and the message was never given to the Bridge, so the Captain and the watchmen didn't even know there were icebergs ahead . All of those lives could have been saved in more than one way. I also gave you the link to a survivor interview below this. What happened with The Titanic is truly a devestating story, and I don't think anyone should have ever been allowed to search at the site. I feel bad for the officer who shot tommy because in real life that didn't happen. His family were really upset that they put that in the film because of how it made him look. James Cameron actually apologised for putting it in the film. But I really don't think you can judge anyone who was on the ship, you don't know how you would react in that kind of situation. What this film does amazingly is show the severity of human nature and how people can act in the most extreme situations. RIP to all those lost on the titanic

If memory serves, they couldn't both get on the door because the weight of 2 people would have caused it to sink. It doesn't really matter that there's technically enough surface area to fit them both. Also on the 'were these real people'-- yes and no. Jack and Rose are definitely fictional. I think Cal as well. Tommy and Fabrizio are fictional. Molly Brown, the Captain, Thomas Andrews, Mr. Ismay, a few of the other rich people are real people. Also the officer that shot Tommy is a real guy, but that event didn't happen and his family was pissed that he was portrayed having done that.

A nickelodeon was actually one of the first kind of movie theaters and got its name from the movies costing 1 nickel. Nickelodeon the tv channel took its name as an homage to these theaters.

Another neat fact that James Cameron did was he actually showed us the Titanic sink in real time. It took 2 hours and 14 minutes for the ship to completely sink and that’s exactly how long it is in the movie

Rose was based off/inspired by Beatrice Wood and her life. The rest of the characters were all real people on the ship, there was an outtake - the Japanese man you see throughout the film, he survived but was ostracized because they thought he'd saved himself instead of going down with the ship,. His name was Masabumi Hosono, I feel so bad that he never really got to overcome the Titanic, forced to live his life in shame. Great reaction! You guys would love the modern experiment that James Cameron did to prove that only one person could fit on the door. After years of listening to people complain that both Jack and Rose could've fit on the floating door, he created a documentary, hired actors, and brought in specialists to see for himself. The size of the door shes floating on has nothing to do with it. Its a matter of buoyancy. Cameron tries to show that but people dont ever notice. If he got on as well than it wouldnt stay above the waterline and they would both freeze. Jack sacrificed himself for Rose. By the way, the “main” characters of the story, Jack, Rose, Cal, etc, are fictional. But all of the tertiary characters were real people. Cameron wanted the ship and the people around his characters to be as historically accurate as possible

Titanic was a mega hit when it came out back in 1997, and although I hated it at first, I’ve warmed up to it over the years, and I appreciate it on a technical aspect. Plus it’s got a great cast as well that have appeared in a lot of films worth reacting too. Leonard DiCaprio you should see in Inception, and The Revenant. Kate Winslet Hanna in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Billy Zane for The Phantom, and Sniper. Bill Paxton for Twister. David Warner for Tron. Bernard Hill for The Ghost and the Darkness. Jonathan Hyde for Jumanji and Richie Rich. But probably the best Titanic movie you should watch is A Night to Remember. Excellent movie from the 50s that’s more historically accurate, and taken from accounts of the survivors.

This story of Titanic.. everything is true apart from the Jack and Rose story... The men playing the violins kept playing until it went down. Molly is real. The boat builder. How they didn't fill the lifeboats up to capacity, they had a huge enquiry afterwards ect.. But it's such a great film, it's so a classic. You should watch how they made the film and all the research they did on it. Great reaction guys, love how Ash changed his mind, everytime Hannah started crying I did too 😄

Amazing movie, amazing reaction. ..I always laugh a little at my girl choosing to spend eternity with dude she knew for a week rather than with her husband of 50 years & her children 😆 But in all seriousness, I don't actually think they'd both survive on the door. It's not about the physical size of the door it's more about the weight ... Even with something to hang onto, their weight combined would have sunken the door too far into the water and they'd both freeze to death. I also agree w Ash, they were in shock, not much critical thinking going on after that polar plunge from hell.

To be honest, not looking forward to sitting through this for 3 hours since I feel like it's a slow burn and the ending pisses me off but I will do it because that's what I pay for. Lol

The Heart of the Ocean diamond is fictional/made up for this movie: however, James Cameron took inspiration from the story of the Hope Diamond, which is another large blue diamond that (just like the movie diamond) was once owned by French King Louis XIV, and that was once cut in a heart shape. The Hope Diamond was later recut down to a smaller cushion cut shape--which is how it is today on display at the Smithsonian.

That's very true. Aqueous cream and vaseline (also white soft paraffin where I am) is great for eczema (I work in a dermatologist clinic). Anything more severe you'd best get some topical creams from the doctor's.

For the beginning of the video, oils can actually cause more damage for some eczema/dry skin (from someone who had eczema as a child). Try Vaselines cocoa butter, they have a non greasy version which is 🤌🤌 if not try something called aqueous cream. It's like thick goop and it's recommended for people with eczema. If it's a scalp/dandruff issue, try head and shoulders for a few months (doesn't work right away) and if it doesn't help, you may need a prescription shampoo. Especially if it is fully psoriasis not just dry skin. Psoriasis is a more severe skin condition that requires topical treatments rather than over the counter stuff. Good luck, Merry Christmas!!! 💜💜

Whether to put the story to bed, or to provoke conversation thus promoting the movie, Cameron said a couple of years ago that they'd tested to see if the wall panel (wasn't a door) could support both Jack and Rose and it could not.

You know, I don't mind that Ash talked a lot through the movie, but I did mind that he turned his head all the way from the screen for extended amounts of time. You're missing things, Ash. But I do love you both! You're both passionate and pretty funny, too. 😁💛

I understand ash's frustration towards the end. The door debate has been going on for years and people think they both could've gotten on to the boat. But I just think some stories need a sad ending lol.

Another neat fact that James Cameron did was he actually showed us the Titanic sink in real time. It took 2 hours and 14 minutes for the ship to completely sink and that’s exactly how long it is in the movie

I’m not asking them to pause. There are times when people arent talking to say things. You can also comment on something without going into a 2 minute rant like they always do. Theres plenty of time at the end of the movie to get into deeper discussion.

No she doesn't have a connection to the real life Titanic, but they based her character off of Beatrice Wood, and her mannerisms, personality, even with the opening when you first meet old Rose that's an homage to Beatrice Wood and her artistry.

It wasn't a door. It wasn't about fitting on it, it was about buoyancy and it's been proven more than once that in order for them both to survive on that piece of wood, they would have to use multiple life jackets underneath to keep it afloat. 👍
