Right. Jacob knew Bella would choose Edward but kept pushing it and Bella is just raging hormones. Also he knows the Cullens wouldn't hurt her and acted like was protecting her and he knew Edward thought she died because he has great hearing but purposely mentioned Charlie was at a funeral knowing Edward would think it was Bella and Bella was even standing right there. He was at the end acting like it wasn't Bella's choice to choose that she wanted to be a vampire

A lot of people who were Team Jacob didn't see Jake's red flags until Breaking Dawn p2. I'm SO curious to see Ash's reaction to it LOL.

2024-12-14 23:25:58 +0000 UTCAs someone who is neither Team Edward or Jacob as I see the issues from both, it's very obvious that Bella loves Edward but caught feelings for Jacob. However, her feelings for Jacob aren't at the same level as her feelings for Edward, and her feelings aren't at the same level as Jacob's feelings for her. Also, Jacob has wishful feelings, he projects what he wants onto Bella despite how obvious she's made it that she doesn't want anything past friendship. Amidst some other things that we'll see in future films we see why Jacob and Bella are not good together. Bella's issue in this regard is that she uses him as a crutch. She knows how he feels, and lets him feel that way, but she is also honest about it. He knows why she keeps him around. Yes they care about each other and she does see him as a really important friend. But she does use him. And in turn Jacob uses that as an advantage to try and be close and persuade her. Edward's issues are similarly flawed ways of behaving and thinking. They all are basically toxic in many ways, but also realistically so. As with Edward being a supernatural being, as well as Jacob, we can understand that they are flawed in these regards but in an extreme way. If those creatures existed, we couldn't say we know how it is in their shoes so we can't be mad at their behavior and choices. And no matter how old Edward is, he is STILL learning. He's nowhere near as old as many vampires. He's honestly like a teenager in Vampire years yet. And we all know from experience that every year we pass, we still don't know shit and still are learning and making mistakes. That continues on until we die. It's just in old age we can't do as much as we become more immobile etc. But we are still learning. So despite how toxic all 3 of them can be, it's also rather understandable and also relatable. Despite some of them not being human, they are part human, and that's humanity. That's what it's like being a person. Nobody is perfect. But it is definitely obvious Bella has always had stronger feelings for Edward and Jacob was a fallback to help mask that depression and pain, despite actually caring for him. It's not right in many regards but all 3 of them have done or said some things that weren't right. That being said, I loved this series when it was releasing. But now, after years have passed, I view it alot differently. I would say I leaned more towards Edward back then and now I don't lean towards either of them. I simply think Bella and Edward work better together and I also think there's alot of toxicity going on in these. 😆 And I also think it's just movies. Just stories. So it's all good fun. Also, alot of people actually truly love it and are passionate about it and I think that makes them great no matter what. Love joining you both on this journey! Can't wait for the next one. 🩷
