This is an interesting series, if you are considering watching the sequels. There are 4 distinct timelines, and you could realistically jump to any after this.
Option 1:
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween III Season of the Witch (1982) is an original story with no Michael Myers. This caused a backlash.
Halloween 4 The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
Halloween 5 The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)
Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
Option 2:
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween H20 20 Years Later (1998)
Halloween Resurrection (2002)
Option 3:
Halloween (2018)
Halloween Kills (2021)
Halloween Ends (2022)
Option 4:
Halloween (2007) is a remake/prequel
Halloween II (2009)

It's unusual in a horror film that the main character is totally unaware of the danger she is in until there only about 10 minutes left in the movie.

Ash……Howard & Sharon again from the US…. We have a question. Your reactions with Hannah are “art”…..like a film, song or painting. That makes you artists. And customers…..”patrons” often commission art. So can we hire,..,pay you to do a reaction of a film that you might not otherwise react too? We are serious. There is a movie we love that we think would be perfect for your channel and that would be even better for Sharon and I to enjoy with your reaction….(the same way you enjoy a movie you have already seen ..,with Hannah who is seeing it for the first time.

- Labyrinth
- The Dark Crystal
- Donnie Darko
- Beetlejuice
- Edward Scissorhands
- Gremlins 1&2
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

This film has its flaws, but it will always be the most iconic film to watch during Halloween! It started the slasher genre and had people very paranoid when it came out 😂 also the Michael Myers costume is easily the most popular costume worn on Halloween to this day! Great reaction, y'all! Love when you watch older films. Hope to see more of them! Happy October/Halloween 🎃

Old Halloween franchise gets pretty bad and the rob zombie franchise is pretty cheesy and horrible so i would not recommend them, instead just watch halloween 2018

John Carpenter described Michael as "an absence of character" and true to form, there really is nothing to Myers' personality beyond his bloodthirsty, unrelenting love of killing. He does occasionally show signs of confusion, playfulness, and even in one odd instance sadness, but the rest of the time he's so devoid of expression it's impossible to tell what goes through his head or why he's such a monster. Most of the time he's treated more like a grim force of nature than an actual character.
John Carpenter's stated repeatedly that the Michael of the later films isn't a human - he's the living embodiment of pure evil. Thus, "killing" him just slows him down a little.

You two definitely need to come for Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando Florida. Different themed houses every year but last year the Halloween house was fantastic! You walked through the house and Michael stepped out of the dark . Genuinely scary af

Ash & Hannah! I've waited a long time for this reaction. For the acting part on which Hannah was commenting, almost all of the actors were first timers and this movie was filmed in only 21 days so they didn't have a lot of time to rehearse and get things right with great direction. John Carpenter was still relatively young in his career and really was breaking some incredible ground here. The budget was only $320,000.00 and $20,000 went to Donald Pleasance who played Dr. Loomis. He was named after a character in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. Although 1960's Peeping Tom was the first film to put the audience in the Killer's POV, this one surpassed it. Michael Myers is actually referred to as The Shape in the credits and you nailed the ending. It was absolutely to show that he could be anywhere and everywhere. The final scene was incredible. During filming Donald Pleasance went up to John Carpenter and told him he could play the reveal that Michael was still alive one of two ways. He could play it shocked that he's gone. Or he could play like, "I knew this would happen." Obviously, Donald Pleasance being such an incredible actor already knew which one he was going to do. While I'd highly recommend Halloween II, it's important to understand that John Carpenter didn't want to make it and recently in 2018, he and Danny McBride put together a three part series ending the Lourie Strode saga. While nothing can truly top the original, they are worth watching and of course the violence and gore are turned up for the sake of modern audiences. Looking forward to the best month of the year!

This movie started the mask slasher genre. It was EXTREMELY low budget and was in the 70’s that’s why the acting seems so foreign to you.
John Carpenter was mainly hoping to create a suspenseful movie that could hang with Hitchcock’s Psycho. That’s why there’s more focus on build up. All of the created this wonderful mystique around Michael like he is a Ghost or something. My favorite horror movie of all time.
But the first one I saw was Halloween II 1981. My sister had a friend spend the night after our parents DJed a Halloween party. So my sister and her friend rented scary movies. They put in Halloween II. I watch in horror and awe from the hallway.

This movie scared me so much as a kid, granted I was only 9 the first time I saw it. Fun fact, the version of The Thing that the kids are watching is actually the original from 1951. The version you reacted to a few years ago is from 1982 and was directed by John Carpenter, the same guy who directed this movie.

Also want to say….this is the film that basically started the slasher movies so the whole make sure you stan him 20 times etc etc was an unknown entity back when this was made….him sitting up after he was stabbed in the bedroom was copied by a certain superstar in the WWE (Undertaker) admitted in an interview….this film was made on a £300.000 budget, the clothes everyone wore were actually there own clothes, the leaves you saw all over the ground were actually picked up and used in different scenes to save on money.
