Fun movie trivia fact: The Departed was a remake of the highly successful Hong Kong thriller 2002's Infernal Affairs starring Andy Lau and Tony Leung. I've seen both films and personally, I liked the Departed better but infernal affairs had a better ending IMHO. I don't want to give away any spoilers in case you ever end up watching it.
