I love Hannah’s reactions so much, I was waiting for her to recognise Robb Stark (Richard Madden) at the end there. All quiet on the western front is also an amazing film depicting the Germans side of event during WWI

This is a great movie; you should also watch "We Were Soldiers (2002)" and "Platoon (1986)" and "Apocalypse Now (1979)" and "Glory (1989)."

Seeing this movie in the theater gutted me and everyone else. When it ended all you could hear was silent sobs and no one moved an inch until the last credit rolled. We all just sat in absolute silence. I believe it is the best war movie made in the last 50 years. George MacKay delivered an absolutely stunning performance and you truly felt every emotion from just the look in his face and his silent body languge. For a film of this length there is so little dialogue, yet its impact is absolutely stunning. I loved watching this movie again with you guys. Id recommend Dunkirk as well, its another true story and a great film.

I normally don't recommend movies but after 1917, "all quiet on the western front" is definitely a must watch. Its like 1917 about ww1 but showing the German side in perspective. Also incredible cinematography and story telling

They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
Response:
We will remember them
Lest we forget.

There is series called Gallipoli (2015) set in 1915. It Follows a 17 year old Australian soldier. The huge psychological impact was shown really well I thought. In NZ and Australia we mourn the events that happened at Gallipoli every year. It is a national holiday called ANZAC day, and is a very important day that we commemorate. The Great War..we will remember them, lest we forget.
