2022-11-15 23:27:27 +0000 UTCThis is one of my top favorites from my childhood. I went to see this in theaters when I was 12 years old. I'm very grateful that I was able to watch this in theaters. This movie is MOVING.. holy crap, it is! Each time I watch I'm brought to tears at the end. Also, when Maximus' family is being executed I get those same feelings, but I didn't let the water works go off then. 300 is amazing! 300 doesn't touch the depth that this movie has, is all. I feel that 300 is brilliant but I can't feel for those characters as I do for the ones in this. Reason for that is probably more because I watched this initially when I was very young. If we wind up having a reaction for 300, I"m here for it!! I just feel that Gladiator is a step above. One movie that I'll always feel is best (so far at least) would be The Terminator. That'll always be my favorite action film. This one's great not only because of the action scenes but also the emotional end. Looking forward to what's next! :)
