Hi ash, I know this reaction is a few months old now but the tank that kept taking bazooka rounds in the final battle, you said what is that tank? That tank is a Panzer VI (6) also known as a tiger tank. It was superior in everything over allied tanks except for speed. That meant it was more heavily armoured, had a larger armour piercing high velocity cannon (88mm) and was impervious to damage from the front or side of the tank. The allies would inevitably lose 4 Sherman tanks for every 1 tiger tank destroyed. In fact the only reason many tigers were destroyed was because of either so many allied tanks that they would run out of ammunition or they would get destroyed via a bomb from allied aircraft which is what you see in saving private Ryan.
