I'm new to your website as an advanced beginner. I love the content though in order to get the techniques I have to play the video half speed and choose sections to repeat, repeat and repeat. Just spent an hour on this. Hoping to make some progress over the week. Playing on a Fender Player Plus with 9-42's.

I'm using 9's on my Fenders and 10's on my Les Paul. Love it.

Hey Bob, years of using heavy gauge strings has caught up to me in the form of trigger finger. For that reason, I’m using 9-42s, which definitely makes bending and maintaining the health of my fingers easier.

What gauge strings do you normally use?

Thanks John! That’s a Fender American Original 60s Telecaster. This is an excellent guitar for players who enjoy a fat neck and substantial fretboard radius. Of all my guitars, this one probably plays the best.

Hi Rob, great lesson! What model tele is that?
