Communicating action is something that I'm progressively learning how to do. When I work on a page like this, a big part of it is making sure actions are well defined enough to where you can just look at it and get the gist of the impact. My initial idea for this page was for body shots of Gamma winding up, but I thought putting the focus primarily on her hand and pulling out at the last panel helped to, oddly enough, convey the emotion better? I don't know. It sounds like I'm just making things up. I don't have the credentials for this sort of thing, I'm just taking things from other people.

Speaking of taking things from other people, I also put in a not-that-great attempt at conveying motion blur with just the lines rather than using something like the actual blurring tool. Attempting to emulate some artists that I like, specifically Colorreaper (https://www.instagram.com/colorreaper/) who is way better at this sort of thing than I am. I've definitely got some work to do in making it look better, but an attempt is an attempt.

Finally, the pose from the last panel was...really difficult for me to mentally figure out. Normally, I'd just try to fudge it and hope that it comes out half decent, but every prior attempt just looked completely awful. So, I did what people who are actually good at this thing do: make my own reference. For your personal enjoyment, you can take a gander at the video I recorded of myself trying to get the pose right. It's in there if you look hard enough. It also has my attempts to not just fall over. The good stuff.
