Vacation Sketchbook

Here are some sketches I did over my vacation. The luggage page was done waiting for my flight to Rome and the building facade was my view from the first hotel I stayed at. I love looking back through a sketchbook and seeing these little captures of moments in time. It really brings me back to the moment and the way I was feeling.

The hands and legs page was done sitting on a stone bench around a fountain in the Villa Broghese Gardens, a beautiful park in the center of Rome. I remember seeing a baby boy sitting on the fountain's edge, so captivated by the rumbling water he looked like he was about to fall in haha.

Anyways, now I'm trying to get back on track with work, patreon, and youtube. Winter is coming, so back to the routine and trying to keep a productive mindset.

Wow, you have such beautiful work. It’s really inspiring :)

I get a little stressed out too, which is the opposite of what drawing used to do for me as a kid. Christophe's sketches are inspiring, but also kind of intimidating lol, I feel like I've never captured a building that way, mine always comes out wonky and distorted. I suppose this comes with putting in the time and not falling off on practice.

Yes you can see the graphite or colored pencil under some or the cleaner pen drawings. But sometimes i just sketch with a pen or pencil alone.

Did you do an undersketch with pencil or something else for the pen drawings? Amazing sketches!

Inspiring to see these and motivating to start doing it for myself. However I was today in a park wanting to do some sketches of a spruce tree, some bushes. But it was too unconvenient for me since I almost have never done it. Feels like I have to branch it up as a different skillset even to use pencil prorperly Especially digitally I got used to use eraser so much when sketching, I just don't get it how on earth can I draw something at 1st try

Even your sketches are gorgeous 😭
