September Sketch Challenge!
Added 2023-09-14 19:31:05 +0000 UTCHello! This month has been very chaotic for me so far. I will be in Rome for the next week (so sadly there will be no workshop stream this Sunday) Despite the fact I'm a little all over the place, we still have a challenge this month!
To keep it simple, I challenge you to a traditional sketching showdown. Pen or pencil on paper. Take a sketchbook to your favorite location and sketch a scene, an object, or people from life. It can be people walking by in a park, or a pot of flowers in your favorite cafe. What catches your eye in the world around you? Any traditional medium is allowed (graphite, ink, watercolors, etc.)
You can take a picture or scan your drawing and post it on the Discord Monthly Challenge channel! If you want, you can even tell a little story about the things you drew. I'm looking forward to seeing your beautiful drawings. Hopefully, I'll have some sketches of my own from my trip to Rome. See you soon!

Fyi, I won't be critiquing these like I have for previous challenges. The idea is just to switch things up a bit and get away from the computer/tablet. Traditional sketching is humbling enough as it is, you don't need me critiquing your drawings on top of that haha
