Lord Corlys Velaryon, The Sea Snake is not a Greyjoy from the iron islands. His house is from Old Valyria. Driftmark where his home is close to Dragonstone on the narrow sea. In the GOT books, House Velaryon sided with Stannis and fought on his side. But Martin the author of the books didn’t include them in the Tv show because there were already too many houses to keep up with he said. This show is more about family drama and getting yourself into position to be on the throne than GOT was. They are building the story similar to GOT S1 ep 2 when they were on the Kings road and Arya tangled with Joffrey. Lady the wolf was killed. Sansa chose defending Joffrey over her family. Ned and Robert discussing Danerys and Jons mother. Jon and Tyrion together at the wall. Bran waking up with his ability to warg. It was VERY foundational to the story and how each storyline evolved from there for the characters. This episode was doing the same. Great reaction. Thank you.
