2023-12-13 02:43:42 +0000 UTCthis episode is so well acted!! the office is so goofy but it's the acting that makes the show so special and makes the characters feel so human and real. my heart always hurts for both jim and pam this episode. the emotions in their eyes...the way she calls her mom to ask for advice...it was just so, so well done! also re pam: i think she's in a tough spot. she's not very good at speaking up for herself and her own best interests. she's let roy kind of walk all over her without speaking up, and she's the same at the office too. i've seen her described as "mousy" a lot. so i think she's in a tough spot right now; trying to allow herself to have a voice and make some decisions and realizing that yes, pam, you do have a voice and you can make whatever choice you want! i don't think she's ever allowed herself that realization. the next season is definitely going to be interesting to see where the characters, all the characters, go and what growth takes place.
