This year has started with Sticky by Tyler the Creator on repeat, and “Let Them” fresh on my mind. The last time I said “this is going to be an incredible year, I can feel it!” was in 2020… which doesn’t sound like a good track record, but that year *did* change my life, and those changes were foundational, and very much for the better.

Joie sends me to her astrologer for my birthday every year, it’s become one of my favourite traditions. She has a strong Long Island accent and speaks swiftly, I take notes as fast as I can. She said this year is where I find my freedom. Please imagine the following with her thick accent, kind of like the old “coffee talk” sketches on SNL:

“You caaaan’t please everyone… you can only please a few people ACTually, so you gotta figure out who those few people are, and then STAAAHP WORRYING ABOUT THE REST!”

Maybe you need to hear that too!

I’m going to please myself this year. (And I think that means good news for you guys too.)

Tomorrow we have a top secret coven event, and you’re all gonna just SWOON when you see this reveal. 😻

Last year was so hard for so many of us, I hope the new year has been gentle with you so far. But guys, I really do have a good feeling about this one. ✨
