Birthday Flor

I love that Flor said “I don’t like the pain scale, just stop if I say that’s too much.” During impact play some of us use a safe word, or check-in using a scale (from 1-10), but that doesn’t work for everyone. Some folks, like Flor, prefer direct simple consent rules. What’s important is that people are asking for what they need, and it’s being respected.
At one point Beth delivered a blow so severe that Flor crumpled. “Too much?” Beth asked. Flor took a deep breath in and said “No, that was okay…” and then “but maybe none harder than that.” Beautiful boundary establishing, beautiful care and communication. (A beautiful butt also.)
