I love hearing her voice. We never talked on the phone once before the pandemic. Since last March weβve talked almost every day. The way she says βHey darlinβ...β when I pick up makes me grin like a goof. βI love you my babe,β our mantra when we say goodbye. I always remind her to βbe safe!β if sheβs at work, she always replies βYes maβam.β Two more sleeps until I get to fall asleep in her arms, and make good on all of these promises.
