Happy holidays, and a quick status update! (proper progress report soon)

Hey everyone, I just wanted to put out a quick post since we're rapidly closing in on the end of the year.

First off, happy holidays to everyone out there! I hope your holidays have been great so far, and that they continue to be so into the new year. I wanted to put together a post before the end of the year, showing off some of the stuff we've been working on lately; I still intend to do that, but I have a bit of a medication withdrawal problem right now that's been making the past week or so progressively more difficult for me, and I haven't been able to get the motivation together to record footage, edit gifs, and all that good stuff. Basically, I don't remember if I've talked about this before but our pharmacy/medical care team had a major hack happen a while ago that threw all of their internal systems into chaos, and they still seem to be struggling with that problem, because getting any of my medications in a reasonable timeframe has been a pain in the ass ever since. Right now I'm completely out of my antidepressant, and am still trying to get a new prescription for it. In the mean time though, as you can imagine, the withdrawals from suddenly going off of those pills is noooot fun, so I'm just doing my best to willpower through it until things are sorted.

Anyway, I wanted to at least pop in to say that I'm alright and CPE is still progressing steadily, if a bit slower than the past few months, but I plan on getting back into streaming CPE dev again in 2026 to help get myself back into a better work rhythm. The next playable update is still a bit further off, but I'll have a much better post soon with more details about what we're up to and what's coming next, just give me a bit to deal with this whole medication thing.

In the meantime, thank you for reading, and for sticking with the CPE team throughout 2025! I still have a long road to go as far as my mental health is concerned, but this feels like the first year I've really started turning a corner for the better, so I can't wait to see where 2026 takes us.
