Weekly Progress Report (4-22-2024)
Added 2024-04-23 04:41:42 +0000 UTCHey everyone. Last week, I mentioned that I would be doing a full devlog this week, but it's going to be another relatively short progress report instead, sorry. My depression has been flaring up this week and my productivity/motivation are falling behind a bit, so I don't have as much to talk about as I was hoping.
I managed to keep some momentum so I'm not at a complete standstill, thankfully - I started work on damage numbers last week, but didn't get to spend too much time on it then, and I managed to pretty much finish implementing them this week. The only thing left is color customization, but thankfully that will be easy to add, because I also finished implementing an HSV slider menu that will be used for any color customization features across the game; for now, I plan on implementing it for damage numbers and the ingame crosshair, but later on, when we do add custom Alicia color schemes, I'll be able to reuse the menu for that as well.

I don't plan on adding a toggle for it that you can access from the moment you start the game, no - for a few reasons. Many cutscene animations do not have a BE variant, since BE isn't meant to be turned on permanently, so cutscenes would have Alicia flipping back and forth between BE and normal; plus, being in permanent BE state means you can only ever see half of the H-scenes in the game, and there would undoubtedly be players who toggle BE on immediately and don't realize that they're missing half of the game's sex scenes. You CAN technically already get permanent BE and no libido meter by using the debug menu, but that requires reaching the end of the demo, and debug is only going to be available in the betas and not the full release. With all that being said, we're going to be implementing things like achievements in v0.48, and I could see us implementing a "permanent BE" cheat that's unlocked by getting some kind of achievement - that way it's not a default feature, and if it's classified as a cheat, then things like the cutscene animation issue aren't nearly as jarring. Additionally, I plan on making achievement unlocks like that be a global thing for all save files, so if we do implement BE as an unlockable cheat, you would be able to use it on new save files from that point on as well.

Please maybe just make a simple script that i can download so i can just press a button to toggle the BE on and off. If you want me to pay you for it i would be willing to do that too just please i need it. PS: if you do decide making this an actual feature please remove the automatic masturbation.
