We take walk-ins
Added 2025-04-26 21:12:04 +0000 UTCA recently completed commission for SHM128III's. This is their OC Dominique who a while ago I posted some development art for Link. She runs a beauty salon but she has something of a dom streak in her.
Now when I was first working up her design I didn't plan on giving her boots. However as started to lay out the final drawing my always helpful, vocal, and opinionated muse Petina spoke up in my head and put in her two cents.
Petina: Why are you not giving her the boots?
Me: Well I draw them fairly often, but I thought I would give them a pass this time.
Petina. Now wearing those same boots: Yes, but that's because they are very popular.
Me: True but I think I'll pass this time.
Petina. Now wearing a similar outfit: Didn't your client say she's a bit of a dom?
Me: Yep.
Petina. Now flexing a riding crop and testing it flexibility: Really.
Me: Sigh. Let me guess. You're recommending I change the piece?
Petina. Gently tapping me on the nose with the tip of the crop: Exactly. Gold star for you.
So that's why Dominique has boots in the finished piece.
