Tier update plans
Added 2017-08-15 22:28:08 +0000 UTCHey everybody! Hot on the coattails of v.27, I bring you another tidbit - my new plans for updating the patreon tiers here. My old plan was to incorporate Brawler Bits into the patreon, but I've decided to keep that project mostly on the backburner at least until Crisis Point has made some good progress. As such, I have new plans for updating the tiers.
The $1 tier will remain the same, just a way to donate a little without much reward beyond the pre-order if you donate $10 or more total.
The $5 tier will become unlimited, and no longer offer playable updates. Instead, patrons at this tier will be able to download a gallery containing all of the current sprite sex animations in Crisis Point. This will be updated every time a new sprite H-scene is added to the game, and will have full voice acting and sound effects just like the scenes do in the main game.
The $10 tier will keep playable updates to Crisis Point, but will also get access to the sprite sex gallery listed in the $5 tier, AND a high-resolution pack of every CG in the game currently, along with all variations. The scenes in-game are at about 640x480, but these files will be available at 1080p.
Those are all the changes I have planned at the moment. It's my hope that giving more rewards at the $10 tier will make it feel a bit more worth it for everyone pledging at that tier, and if all you care about is the sprite animations, there will be a cheaper option for that.
Let me know how you feel about these changes - it'll be a bit before I start implementing them, so there's plenty of time to change it around a bit if people are unhappy!

And what do you mean towards the right? The plant girl in the caves is off to the far left of the area, are you saying you sank into the floor to the right of the plant girl? Is there anything else you can tell me about what happened leading up to the bug?

Considering this patreon is my only source of income, and I have a lot of people working with me expecting payment, I can't go making any radical changes right now like removing the $10 tier without a guarantee that it would double my patrons or more. I'm already in a lot of debt, I can't make a risky move like that. I get where you're coming from, and if I ever get to a point where I'm more financially secure than barely holding on by a thread, I'll definitely consider changing the prices around. As far as polish vs content, it probably seems that way to you because you started following the patreon during The Great Rework™. I had about two years straight where I released content updates nonstop on a monthly basis, but because of the rush to get content done, everything I put out was rushed and unpolished - that's why my focus right now is polish, and why I've slowed down to an update every 2 months for the future, so everything in the game can get the attention it deserves and I don't have to take months focusing on just polish again in the future.

2017-08-16 17:31:09 +0000 UTCpledged $10 for i don't know how long and I don't know if i'll keep subscribed, genuinely think that you are overcharging, I go to other devs too and most don't charge half as much for really good content, you have an amazing game so far you really do but it's still in development and I've probably spent well over $60 for a game not even half done, with updates that although add amazing polish haven't really added much content in the last how ever long, i can understand the delays and the reasons for them but I think $5 every month you would have far more people coming to you ending up balancing out with happy patrons, but that's my 2 cents, i will stay subscribed for now but that really depends on updates , also throwing this out there, really wanna see what you can do with the water sections, got proper excited when i first found the little swimming areas and would love to see what waits for us at the bottom of the water xD

It's going to be a bit of a process for me since Patreon doesn't have anything going automate that, which is why I can't just retroactively send out rewards to everyone who ever pledged $10 or more on a whim, but the full game release reward hasn't changed.

Maybe the last 6-8 months worth or so, just so I'm not spending a ton of time sending it out.

2017-08-16 05:59:51 +0000 UTCThe only reason the $5 tier ever got playable updates was because it was a limited tier, only 10 (later 11) people were supposed to have access to it, as a way to thank those who supported me early with cheaper updates. However, then people like yourself decided to cheat the system, and figured out you can still pledge $5 and get those rewards even though the tier is supposed to be full. Luckily most of my patrons are respectful enough to not do this, but the system is being abused, and I will be fixing it.
