BB and Patreon Plans
Added 2017-04-07 18:28:12 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Today is just a purely text update, nothing super exciting, but I wanted to let you know what my plans for Brawler Bits are, as well as some changes I'm planning for the Patreon tiers.
First of all, Brawler Bits. I'm in talks with some artists now about getting some good H-scenes for it. Compared to Crisis Point, BB is a very small project; however, I still want to put my best foot forward with it, and the H-scenes I have planned will be somewhat expensive. With that in mind, after the first official demo (which will have at least one H-scene and will be released publicly), I'll be integrating Brawler Bits into the patreon, as a reward for people pledging at the $5 tier.
That brings me into the second change: the Patreon tiers. It's been nearly 3 years since Crisis Point started development, and over those years there has been a lot of confusion regarding the $5 and $10 tiers. Lots of people have been confused as to why the $5 tier is limited. For those of you that don't know, the $5 tier is identical to the $10 tier in every way except for the lowered price; the intention was as a 'thank you' to people who supported me early on, before I made a name for myself, by allowing them to get the same stuff for cheaper. However, that was 3 years ago, and the confusion about the tiers still pops up every once in a while.
After Brawler Bits' first official demo, I plan on replacing Crisis Point with Brawler Bits in the $5 tier, and removing the patron limit on that tier. In addition, I plan on adding a high-res CG pack to the $10 tier, which will include all current Crisis Point CGs (as well as their variations) in full 1080p resolution. This means that people pledging at the $10 tier will receive Brawler Bits updates, Crisis Point updates, AND the high-res CPE CG pack. Hopefully that will make the $10 pricetag feel a little more worth it, and lessen the sting for those patrons who have been using the $5 tier this whole time. This change should happen sometime in the next few months; my hope is that it will increase patrons enough that I can use the extra money to push Brawler Bits out faster, which will then be sold at a $5 pricetag, which can hopefully help me pay all of the people working with me on Crisis Point now.
With that said, there is one final thing to note; Brawler Bits was started for a reason, and its initial purpose was to act as an apology game for everybody that was pledging during the long, long wait for v.26. To that end, everyone pledged during that time will be getting Brawler Bits free of charge once it comes out. However, much like Crisis Point, (after the first demo) you'll only get playable updates while you're pledged. As of now, I haven't decided if pledges for BB will serve as preorders or not, like they are with Crisis Point; I'll have more news on that before the pledge changes take effect, though.
Anyway, that's all I have to say for today. Feel free to leave any questions, concerns, or comments about the upcoming changes here, and I'll be glad to talk about it more! Thanks for reading!

Brawler Bits won't have much text in it, so yeah, probably. At least Japanese.

2017-04-08 15:24:46 +0000 UTCThat's correct. If they're still pledging they'll get in-development updates, but if not then it'll be just the final version, like Crisis Point.

2017-04-08 15:23:35 +0000 UTCso does that mean If a pledge was done during the delayed months, the patron will get the final version but not the developmental versions before it? Is that correct?
2017-04-08 15:20:10 +0000 UTCDo you plan to translate the game into other languages?
