Brawler Bits shop poll

Hey everyone! Before I get into the meat of this post, I just wanted to let you all know that since I figured out how to maintain a dropbox link while updating the file, the link I posted yesterday for Brawler Bits will be updated periodically while I work on the game. If you have any interest in seeing the game grow VERY gradually, feel free to check up on the link every once in a while to see if anything's changed! (I did add a combo meter and a nice gameboy-styled fade out effect today)

On to the important stuff. I've been doing a bit more thinking on how Brawler Bits' progression will work, and I've come to the decision that between rounds, while the sex scene plays on one half of the screen, the other half will be home to the Shop system. The shop, as its name implies, will allow you to purchase upgrades and new moves for your character. As you'll probably have noticed if you played it already, the combo system in Brawler Bits is extremely freeform - the only restriction is that you can't use the exact same move that you just used (although I might limit aerial Up attacks to one per jump so you can't float around), meaning you can easily spam two moves if you so choose. The way I intend to discourage this is by offering players bonuses for varying their combos and getting long chains; the longer your combo and the more unique moves you use during it, the more currency you'll receive at the end of it. Now, the question is.. What type of currency would you like to see in the game? This is pretty much a purely cosmetic thing, but I figured it would be fun to let you guys decide!

So. Coins, Gems, classic EXP points, or something else? Leave me your thoughts!

I say xp, its simply understood, needs no explanation, every generation of gamer knows it, and it fits the games theme of simplicity. on another note I think that if you explained it simply as "gems are basically XP" then its completely aesthetic. if its completely aesthetic, then logic would indicate you use the one that is most pleasing to the eye and fits the games style the best. sorry if I overthought this.
