Added 2017-03-25 02:28:14 +0000 UTCHey everybody! Now that the long-overdue v.26 is finally out, I decided to take a few days off to work on something small and relaxing. I've been wanting to work on my melee combat animation skills lately, since a lot of games I want to make involve it much more heavily than Crisis Point (plus Alicia's kick animation, ewwww). To that end, I started messing around with a sprite I posted a while ago in the Discord server (if you aren't already a member, you can join it here: https://discord.gg/MveBYb2 ) which I have decided to code name "Brawler Bits"!
Brawler Bits is envisioned as a combo-based arena brawler with some light RPG elements. You fight a bunch of dudes to save your lady, and after you finish busting heads, you two reunite to bust your nut. After the sex scene plays, your lady is captured again, and the process repeats. I'm still uncertain if I want the game to be high-score based and thus, endless, or have an eventual ending. Plenty of things to be decided still, considering I more or less just picked up a sprite and started working rather than planning the entire concept out first.

Here's the download link for the current build. There's no win/loss state or any H-scenes yet, but your character does have a full moveset to beat the crap out of a zombie with!
If you guys don't mind, I'll post updates on this project here every once in a while under its own tag. If you'd rather I keep it off the patreon though, that's fine, just let me know! Crisis Point is still my main project, of course, this one is just something fun to work on in my free time. Any feedback or questions are welcomed!

Well it's not an option in the ini, but I did just upload a new version that has a potential fix. Try it out and let me know if it works - it SHOULD give you an error message telling you to install/update DirectX when you start the game up, but then once you dismiss that the game will continue to play with shader effects turned off.

2017-03-25 14:57:12 +0000 UTCYep, this'll be the graphical style for the game. The H-scenes will use the same color palette as well, although I plan on making them higher-resolution than the character sprites! You can't really make sprites that small look sexy :p
