New Team Member! (v.26 is almost here)
Added 2017-03-19 20:08:17 +0000 UTCHey guys! I have some great news today, but before I get to that, I figured I should let you know the update is 99% ready; I'm just waiting on Lustfire to get back to me about the CG, and as soon as he does, v.26 will be released at long last! SO many things have happened since development on this version began, and I cannot thank each and every one of you enough for sticking with me through this. Since I started this patreon campaign, I've taken pride in my ability to be on-time with releases; I was able to pull it off for about two years, but things have taken a sharp turn downhill in recent months. I feel so terrible about how much I've let you all down, especially during the course of developing THIS update in particular (which was originally due for December 2016..), but at this point, I don't think there's much I can do beyond picking up the pieces and moving forward; so that's exactly what I intend to do.
With that in mind, I want to announce another exciting development for the game: Crisis Point has another pixel artist on board! Welcome Arsministrator to the team; he only joined up in the last couple of days, but in that time he's already pushed out an updated Dash animation, and a redesign of Alicia's sprite that manages to fit in WAY more detail from her CG design. Take a look here:

He'll be joining Orexius in spriting and animating Alicia and all the creatures in Crisis Point. As some of you may know, animating and spriting is a bit of a personal demon for me. I can pull it off given enough time, but I do not enjoy doing it in the least. Throughout development, it's been the #1 cause of work-related slowdown and hangups. Now, with two pixel artists on board, I should barely have to spend any time animating at all. I truly believe this will be the biggest improvement in development speed Crisis Point has ever seen, allowing me to focus on the things I do best; while there is still a LOT of work to be done, I feel more confident than ever that Crisis Point will become the game that we all want it to be.
Thank you all so much for your eternal patience and support throughout the last few troubled months, and keep your eyes peeled - v.26 is just around the corner!
