Acquired Taste

Trixie watched in disgust as Starlight levitates another worm into her mouth and started chewing. After a second the mauve unicorn noticed her partner's stare. She swallowed and spoke to her.

"Is something wrong?" She then popped another worm into her mouth.

"No! Trixie is fine!" Said the blue unicorn in a fashion that made it abundantly clear she was not fine with it. After a second she spoke again.

"However Trixie is confused how or why Starlight is eating...." She stared as Starlight levitated another wiggling worm out of the carton toward her mouth. "Those things."

Starlight slurped up another worm like piece of spaghetti and then chewed on it for a moment. "Wwweeellll. Gallesian Blood Worms are primarily a griffin treat and they are a bit of an acquired taste, but once you get past the wiggling part they're rather tasty. Plus they're a great source of protein. So when I saw a griffin vendor selling them I had to get some."

"So Trixie is still confused how and why Starlight would've and could've acquired the taste for them?"

Starlight swallowed another and smiled. "Well years ago I traveled through the griffin lands, and while I was there I developed the taste for them." Starlight levitated a worm toward one toward her friend. "Want one Trixie?"

Trixie shook her head vigorously. "No! No! You can have them."
