To answer your question the dream shard that all pony's dream fabrics reside in has been protected by the wards and reputation of Princess Luna. Known to many who reside in the Lower Dark Realm as the Dream Witch. These wards were strong enough that held up more or less even during her thousand year absence. Since her return she's renewed and strengthened many of them. Also she now has Applebloom helping her. Thus the reason for the filly getting the titles of Red Bow and The Attack Beast of the Dream Witch.
