Larscis Rough Design Take One
Added 2024-11-11 20:11:52 +0000 UTCSome development art work for a longtime client and supporter Larscis. He's asked me to do a more traditional, full-sized character design of his dragon character. This is the first round and I've gotten feedback from him and will incorporate his feedback it in the next round of designs. This is not the first time I've drawn Larscis Link, Link but it is the first time I've drawn in him in a non-anthro form.
FYI. the comment in the bottom left came up when Petina started chatting with the Larscis in my head. That was his response to one of her questions.

2024-11-11 21:48:12 +0000 UTCit is always an interesting time making a character jump from anthro to animal, suddenly the design principles are turned upside down, animal features left prominent in humanoid form have to be toned down in quadruped form or else they overwhelm the design, while the character's personality traits have to be converted from clothing articles into skin and bone. Even in this example, the tricky part is avoiding turning Larscis into yet-another-generic-dragon, identifiable in pose and silhouette.
